This hotel is in a fantastic location. Ikebukuro has so many shops and great restaurants and bars. We had NYE here and found a wonderful sake and shot bar close by. The hotel was clean, comfortable and central to train and shopping. There was a convenience store in the hotel which made snacks and in hotel meals really cheap. Our only complaint was that if there were noisy neighbours in the room next door, you could hear them.

Good location, as it is near the Ikeburo station, and the Yamanote line runs from that station to many choice tourist locations. The hotel staff are extremely polite(this is Japan after all) and always try their best to communicate in English. Very helpful. The room, is another matter on the whole. While it is a semi-double room, it was the tiniest we have ever stayed in Japan. The passageway allowed only one person to walk through, with an aircraft size bathroom on the left. Prior to Tokyo, we had stayed at MyStays Hotel in Kyoto. While the room was small, the fittings were in good condition, clean, neat and comfortable. But Sunshine City Prince's room was terribly old, ill-designed with dirty looking carpeting. Our comforter had old stains on it, and when we called for an ironing board, a stained one was lent to us. We do laud the hotel for being a green hotel, with its concerted efforts at energy and water saving. Just wish that they will seriously look into upgrading the hotel for a more favorable stay.(OMG THIS WAS ON 20 MAY 2008!)

Got exciting news: YOU ARE INVITED!!!

haha. We're organising a hc(high school), nanyang and hc(college) trumpet section outing!!!

It's going to be on 14th June 2008(sat). So please keep that day free:)

The details are not confirmed yet. Tentatively having bbq at Sylvia's house. And we're going to celebrate our j2s' birthdays. Yup, please come k???

Ok, I'll update you all abt the details next time after we discuss. This is so exciting! Mass section outing. Must come must come!!

haha....reading Germaine's entry makes me want to post about the exciting trumpet washing session too:D

haha....ya, really really miss washing trumpets in ny :P the big toilet, the showers and the taps under the sink to make the SPA for the beloved trumpets:D Haha...oh ya, and the benches to dry and polish the trumpets:D and the team spirit the section has :D yay!

Haha....but it was REALLY SHUANG to polish the trympets yesterday :D yea....there's a GREAT difference :D can see that the cloth becomes super black and the trumpet becomes SUPER SHINY :P haha..

ya, sorry germaine for pangseh-ing the section for 1 week ( *partially guilty grin*) haha..I will give u mental + psychological support :P jia you jia you! Ya, quite excited about the concert and seeing CATS again:D

Hello! Guess who? Haha.

Sylvia and I washed instrus in Hwa Chong today! We ended up with 5 super shiny trumpets:) But washing instru in Nanyang is more fun. Got more people:) Today only had the two of us. The rest all pangseh. Two woke up late, one got something on and another two washing later:/

I miss the trumpet washing sessions in Nanyang. Haha remember our nice-smelling hotel soap, Jacuzzi, using the shower to blast all the disgusting stuff out of the trumpet and end up wetting the whole toilet. Don't care. Next time we wash instrus, we will bring our own nice smelling hotel soap. Brass soap not nice one lor. No nice smell and not bubbly enough. After a while it seems like we're just using water without soap.

Oh, Margaret came back to hc today:)

Yay! Looking forward to concert in 6 days time and looking forward to seeing you all there too! So exciting haha.

We have band prac almost everyday next week and Sylvia is going to leave me there alone! She got some overseas trip until one day before concert:(

Ok, I shall put rainbow colours:) Very long never do that already. It's pretty! *beams. Oh I realised I forgot to write my name. But you all know who lah right? :)

Hi! This is my second time posting. So nervous...

Haha. I am here to post about the section outing (: as asked by liting. Haha. I will just post about the ice skating and let keyecheng finish the rest. Heehee.

Ok. Let's start. We met in the morning and while waiting for the others, guanteng ate her muesli bar (how to spell?). Suddenly we heard a "pia" sound and saw guanteng dropped half of her muesli bar. It was very hilarious. HahaXD

Soon after, everyone arrived and we set off for jec. We walked past a place where the pasar malam was last time and it smelt like a farm. I think pauline had flu and she could not smell anything. She was like "Got meh? Got meh?". So cute(:

Then we arrived at Fuji Ice Palace, rented the ice skates and had a hard time putting them on (maybe it's just me ): ) And we walked to the rink. I was very scared that once I stepped into the rink, I would slip and fall as it was my first time skating. Thankfully, I did not. I held tightly onto the "wall". Haha.

Rachel, amanda, liting, yuzhen and huishan knew how to skate already so they went to skate on their own first while the rest of us "warm up". We had a hard time crossing the "river" - the entrances as there is a big space between the two railings. Pauline had to hold me and "push" me over first. Then go over and 拉 guanteng over. Thank you pauline! Haha(:

We slowly got the hang of walking on the ice and pauline went to skate on her own. So fast. Meantime, there were some very pro people ice skating in the center. So nice, so pretty.

After a while, rachel came and took guanteng and huishan took me. The four of us formed a chain and skated around the rink. A lady came over and told us to skate in twos as we will block the traffic. Haha(:

I just realised I am very long-winded. Ok. Let's 讲重点. Pauline went off with guanteng to skate and they look like sisters(: So we took lots of photos of them. Then we took section photo which is very very colourful(: and we took a photo of our ice skates also. And we had section hug(: with cheryl in the center. Haha(: I think we did not manage to take a photo in the end. (maybe we did? *pray*)

After that germaine came and we all left for lunch. I think we ordered like 8 hotplates and the table is too small to hold them. We played jigsaw puzzles and managed to squeeze everything onto the table. haha.

After the lunch we went section toilet break. Pauline was smsing someone while waiting for the rest *hint hint*. haha. (pauline, don't be angry with me!) After that we took neoprints. It was very fun(: Everyone was like hurrying to change places. Haha(:

I think I will stop here today as the post is getting very long. Keyecheng will continue the rest. Haha(:
